Box Score The Carthage College women's soccer team (12-4-0, 4-2-0 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin) La Crosse, Wis., defeated non-conference opponent Wisconsin-La Crosse (5-10-1), 3-2, on Wednesday, Oct. 30 at the Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex in La Crosse, Wis.

Carthage took a 1-0 lead when Corinne Brennan (Fr., New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln-Way West) scored her 14th goal of the year, assisted by Sam Anderson, at 18:21. Brennan scored again to open the second half, tallying her 15th goal of the season, tops in the CCIW and unassisted at 45:32. The Carthage season record for goals scored is 19 set by Jackie Dernek in 2003 and matched by Shelly Hecht in 2004. Taylor Capek (Sr., Englewood, Colo./Cherry Creek) made it a 3-0 contest with a goal at 50:38, assisted by Rachel Post.

The Eagles got on the scoreboard at 58:51 on a goal by Jamie Ochsenwald. Wisconsin-La Crosse cut the score to 3-2 at 83:14 on a penalty-kick goal by Kelly Denk. Wisconsin-La Crosse out-shot Carthage, 21-10, including a 12-4 margin on shots-on-goal,

The Lady Reds conclude their regular-season schedule on Saturday, Nov. 2 by playing host to CCIW-opponent Elmhurst College (8-8-0, 2-4-0 CCIW) in a 5 p.m. contest at Art Keller Field in Kenosha, Wis.
