Box Score The Carthage College women's soccer team (9-2-0, 3-1-0 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin) defeated CCIW-opponent North Central College (2-8-1, 1-3-0 CCIW), 2-1, on Saturday, Oct. 12 in a Carthage Homecoming contest at Art Keller Field in Kenosha, Wis.

After almost 61 minutes of scoreless soccer, Carthage broke a tie with a goal by Corinne Brennan (Fr., New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln-Way West), her 11th of the year, and assisted by Rachel Post. at 61:09. Kara Winans (Fr., New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln-Way West), made it a 2-0 game with a goal at 67:46 assisted at by Brennan. The Cardinals' Hope Stayer scored on a penalty-kick goal, her fifth goal of the year, at 85:39 for the final, 2-1 margin. The Lady Reds out-shot the Cardinals by a 16-12 margin.

Carthage plays host to non-conference opponent Wisconsin-Stevens Point (4-7-2) on Wednesday, Oct. 16 in a 4:30 p.m. game, also at Art Keller Field.
