Box Score Carthage College women's soccer team (4-4-3, 0-0-1 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin) opened its CCIW-schedule on Saturday, Sept. 29 by playing Elmhurst College (6-2-2, 0-0-1 CCIW) to a 2-2 tie in double-overtime at Langhorst Field in Elmhurst, Ill.
 
The Bluejays took a 1-0 lead in the first half on a goal by Shannon Pimmel at 2:52.  The Lady Reds tied the game, 1-1, at 45:16 second period when Taylor Capek (Jr., Englewood, Colo./Cherry Creek) scored, assisted by Jessica Socha.  Elmhurst went back on top, 2-1, at 51:17 on a goal by Katie Baschen.  Carthage tied the game, 2-2, at 64:38 on a goal by Rachel Jason (Sr., Deerfield, Ill.), her seventh of the year and assisted by Rachel Post.  The two teams proceeded to play a pair of scoreless overtime periods. 

Carthage plays host to conference-opponent, No 5 and last year's national-runner-up Wheaton College (Ill., 9-2, 1-0 CCIW) on Wednesday, Oct. 3 in a 5 p.m. game at Art Keller Field in Kenosha, Wis.
