Box Score Carthage College women's soccer team (4-4-2, 0-0-0 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin) evened its season record on Wednesday night, Sept. 26 with a 2-0 shutout of Wisconsin-La Crosse (3-5-1) at Art Keller Field in Kenosha, Wis. 
 
Following a scoreless first period, Carthage took a 1-0 lead at 48:41 second half on a goal by Taylor Capek (Jr., Englewood, Colo./Cherry Creek), assisted by Rachel Post.  Michelle Sobey (Bull Valley, Ill./Woodstock) scored the Carthage's second goal at 80:40, assisted by Jessica Socha.  The Lady Reds out-shot the Eagles, 13-6, with Carthage goalkeeper Abby Alm (Fr., North Branch, Minn.) collecting three saves. 

Carthage travels to Elmhurst, Ill., on Saturday, Sept. 29 to play its CCIW-opener versus Elmhurst College (6-2-1, 0-0- CCIW) in a 1 p.m. contest at Langhorst Field.
