Lady Reds Play Host to Wisconsin-La Crosse on Wednesday

Box Score Rachel Jason (Sr., Deerfield, Ill.) scored two goals with three assists to lead the Carthage College women's soccer team (3-4-2, 0-0-0 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin) to a 5-1 decision over Lawrence University (3-6-0) on Sunday afternoon, Sept. 23 at Whiting Field in Appleton, Wis.
 
Carthage took a 1-0 lead at 20:32 on a goal by Jessica Socha (So., Crestwood, Ill./Chicago-Marist), assisted by both Rachel Jason and Rachel Post.  The Lady Reds made it a 2-0 contest at 29:27 on a goal by Rachel Jason, assisted by Post.  Kirstin Edwards put the Vikings on the board with a goal at 31:31.  Carthage went up, 3-1, at 35:59 on a goal by Jessica Davison (So., Kenosha, Wis./Bradford), assisted by Jason and Kayla Tripp.  A goal by Kayla Tripp (Sr., La Crescent, Minn.) at 40:31, assisted by Jason, upped the Lady Reds' margin to 4-1.  A second goal by Jason, assisted by Alyssa Baker, early in the second period at 47:54 closed out the scoring at 5-1. 
 
Carthage plays host to Wisconsin-La Crosse (3-4-1) on Wednesday, Sept. 26 in a 6 p.m. game at Art Keller Field in Kenosha, Wis.
