"Tonight we got to the red zone often but just couldn't quite pull the trigger,” said Carthage coach
Steve Domin.
Billy Hamilton and
Drew Liogas had special nights for us, which as a team, we frankly squandered. We certainly played an opponent with some powerful and experienced players, but we didn't back down early, and it turned out to be an entertaining match. We just made too many little mistakes and giveaways, at key moments, which allowed them to build momentum.”
The Oles out-shot the Red Men, 22-9. On Sunday, Sept. 23, the Red Men travel to Waverly, Iowa, for a 2 p.m. contest against Wartburg College (2-4-1) at the Wartburg Soccer Field.
