Lady Reds Return to Naperville, Ill., This Weekend for the "Tiffany RobinsonMemorial Classic"

Box Score The Carthage College women's volleyball team (16-9, 3-2 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin), ranked 24th in the Oct. 9 American Volleyball Coaches Association NCAA Division III poll, defeated CCIW-opponent North Central College (18-5, 4-1 CCIW), 3-1, on Tuesday, Oct. 9 at Gregory Arena at Merner Fieldhouse in Naperville, Ill.  The Lady Reds' winning set scores over the Cardinals were 21-25, 25-12, 25-18 and 26-24. 

Carthage's Emily Heuermann (Fr., Washington, Ill.) collected a match-high 14 kills with a .231 attack percentage, while Angelica Walinski (Jr., Skokie, Ill./Niles North) had 11 kills and hit. 269.  Setter Karin Chin (Fr., Mundelein, Ill.) averaged 7.75  assists per set.  Kayla Murphy led North Central with 11 kills.

On Friday-Saturday, Oct. 12-13, the Lady Reds return to Naperville to play in the North Central (Ill.) “Tiffany Robinson Memorial Classic.”  Carthage plays Rockford College at 2 p.m. and Wisconsin-Oshkosh at 6 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 12.  On Saturday, Oct. 13, the Lady Reds take on Aurora University at 10 a.m. and Wisconsin-Platteville at 2 p.m.
