Lady Reds Play Host to Illinois Wesleyan on Saturday

Box Score The Carthage College women's soccer team (5-9-4, 1-3-2 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin) lost to non-conference opponent Clarke University (4-13-0), 2-1, on Tuesday, Oct. 23 at the Dubuque Soccer Complex in Dubuque, Iowa.
 
Clarke took a 1-0 first-half lead on a goal by Samm Mammoser, assisted at Sara Doerr at 25:13.  The Crusaders made it a 2-0 contest at 65:48 when Doerr scored, assisted by Mammoser.  The Lady Reds cut the lead to 2-1 at 83:19 on a goal by Taylor Capek (Jr., Englewood, Colo./Cherry Creek), assisted by Rachel Jason.  Clarke out-shot Carthage by a 9-5 margin. 

The Lady Reds close out their regular-season schedule on Saturday, Oct. 27 by playing host to CCIW-opponent Illinois Wesleyan University (8-8-0, 4-2-0 CCIW) in a 1 p.m. contest at Art Keller Field in Kenosha, Wis.
