Box Score The Carthage College women's volleyball team (19-11, 4-2 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin), ranked 30th in the Oct. 16 American Volleyball Coaches Association NCAA Division III poll, swept CCIW-opponent Augustana College (Ill., 16-9, 2-4 CCIW), 3-0, on Friday, Oct. 19 at Tarble Arena in Kenosha, Wis. The Lady Reds' winning set scores over the Vikings were 25-9, 25-21 and 25-15.
Carthage is in third place in the CCIW, one game behind second-place North Central College at 5-1. First-place Elmhurst College, with a 6-0 league mark, has clinched at least a share of the conference title.
Carthage's Angelica Walinksi (Jr., Skokie, Ill./Niles-North) collected a match-high 11 kills and hit. 300, while
Rachel Fields (So., Chicago, Ill./Oak Park-Fenwick) had eight kills with a .467 attack percentage. Lady Reds setter
Karen Chin (Fr., Mundelein, Ill.) averaged 9.00 assists per set. Emily Leazer topped Augustana with 10 kills.
Carthage closes out its regular-season CCIW-schedule by playing host to North Park University (6-18, 0-6 CCIW) on Tuesday, Oct. 23 in a 7 p.m. match at Tarble Arena in Kenosha, Wis.
