Women's Soccer Plays North Central (Ill.) to a 1-1 Tie on Oct. 13

Lady Reds Play Host to DePauw on Wednesday

Box Score The Carthage College women's soccer team (4-7-4, 0-3-2 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin) played CCIW-opponent North Central College (5-7-2, 1-2-1 CCIW) to a 1-1 tie in double-overtime on Saturday, Oct. 13 at Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium in Naperville, Ill. 

North Central took a 1-0 lead at 3:04 on a goal by Hope Stayer.  Carthage's Taylor Capek (Jr., Englewood, Colo./Cherry Creek) tied the game with a goal at 34:27, assisted by Alyssa Baker.  That's the way it stayed through the second quarter and a pair of overtime periods.  The Lady Reds and the Cardinals each had 10 shots.  Carthage plays host to non-conference opponent DePauw University (2-9-1) on Wednesday, Oct. 17 in a 5 p.m. game at Art Keller Field in Kenosha, Wis.
