Results

The Carthage College men's swimming team (3-4 dual meet record) lost both ends of a Saturday, Jan. 7 triangular meet at Lewis University in Romeoville, Ill.  Carthage fell to Lewis University, 114.50-87.50, and lost to Northwestern University by a 116-86 margin at the Lewis Pool.  

Carthage's Kyle Drake (Sr. Aurora, Ill./Waubonsie Valley) took first place in the 100 backstroke (53.6) and fifth in the 200 freestyle (1:47.19).  Eric Ross finished second in the 500 freestyle (4:58.32).  Doug Schranck (Sr. Alton, Ill./Marquette Catholic) was third in the 100 butterfly (53.68), as was Benjamin Ertl (Fr., Phillips, Wis.) in the 100 backstroke (1:00.48). 

The Red Men play host to Wisconsin-Milwaukee on Jan. 14 at the Koenitzer Aquatic Center, beginning at 2 p.m.
