The Carthage College women's tennis team (5-3, 3-1 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin) lost to CCIW-opponent Wheaton College (Ill, 7-1, 5-0 CCIW), 8-1, on Tuesday, Sept. 20 at the Wheaton Tennis Courts in Wheaton, Ill.

Carthage's Hollis McPeek (Sr., Lake Bluff, Ill./Lake Forest, 3-5) lost to the Thunder's Elizabeth Worsowicz at No. 1 singles, Worsowicz winning, 6-0, 7-5. Bari Reynolds (So., Sterling, Ill., 6-2) fell to Wheaton's Sarah Ray at No. 2 singles, Ray winning, 6-3, 6-2. Kristina Naidicz (Sr., Kenosha, Wis./Tremper, 5-3) lost at No. 3 singles, as did Erin Henrickson (Fr., Darien, Ill./Hinsdale-South, 3-5) at No. 4 singles. Abby Ludwig (Fr., Crystal Lake, Ill./Prairie Ridge, 4-4) at No. 5 singles and Amanda Bizub (Sr., Hartland, Wis./Arrowhead, 6-2) at No. 6 singles.

Carthage's No. 1 double team of McPeek and Naidicz (8-0) was a winner over the Thunder. The Lady Reds' No. 2 team of Reynolds and Hendrickson (5-3) lost to Wheaton (Ill.) as did the No. 3 tandem of Ludwig and Bizub (4-4).

On Friday-Sunday, Sept. 23-25, the Lady Reds play in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's Midwest Regional Tournament at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minn.
