The Carthage College men's soccer team (1-4-0, 0-0-0 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin) lost to Robert Morris University (Ill., 3-2), 2-1 in overtime, on Wednesday, Sept. 14 at Art Keller Field in Kenosha, Wis.

Carthage took a 1-0 lead in the first period on a goal by Michael Dombrowski (Fr., Johnsburg, Ill.), assisted by Dylan Tucker, at 37:53. The Eagles tied the game at 86:37 on an unassisted goal by Bobby Hurwitz. Gordy Gurson scored the game-winning goal for Robert Morris (Ill.) at 98:05 in overtime. The Red Men had a narrow, 9-8 lead in shots over the Eagles.

"It was probably was not in our best interest to mix up the line up a bit tonight," said Carthage head coach Steve Domin, "but fortunately, got some good minutes from a handful of players who don't see a lot of action. You have to give a ton of credit to Robert Morris for hustling when we felt the game was in check. We'll need to bounce back in a hurry to play regionally-ranked Wartburg on Friday."

The Red Men entertain Wartburg College (3-1) in a 7 p.m. contest on Friday, Sept. 16, also at Art Keller Field.
