The Carthage College men's soccer team (0-1-0, 0-0-0 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin) opened its 2011 season with a 4-0 loss to the University of Redlands (1-0-0) on Thursday, Sept. 1 at Farquhar Field in Redlands, Calif.  The Bulldogs took a 2-0 first-half lead behind two goals by Jamie Griffin, the first at 12:08 and the second at 33:50. Cody Carlson scored twice for Redlands in the second period, once at 47:14 and the final goal at 69:20. On Saturday, Sept. 3, Carthage takes on Pomona-Pitzer College (0-1-0) in a Noon, PST contest at Merritt Field in Claremont, Calif.
