Lady Reds Play Host to North Park on Wednesday

The Carthage College women's soccer team (8-7-2, 2-2-1 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin) played CCIW-opponent North Central College (7-7-1, 0-4-1 CCIW) to a 1-1 tie in double-overtime on Saturday afternoon, Oct. 22 at Art Keller Field in Kenosha, Wis. 

Following a scoreless first period, the Cardinals' Jennifer Guy broke the tie with a goal at 57:15.  Carthage's Nanda Holler (So., Chicago, Ill./St. Scholastica Academy) tied the game, 1-1, with a goal at 77:56, her fourth goal of the year.  That's the way it stayed through the end of regulation and through two overtime periods.  The Lady Reds enjoyed a narrow, 14-11 lead in shots. 

Carthage concludes its home schedule on Wednesday, Oct. 26 by playing host to CCIW-opponent North Park University (6-8-1, 2-3-0 CCIW) on Wednesday, Oct. 26 in a 5 p.m. game, also at Art Keller Field.
