The Carthage College women's soccer team (8-7-1, 2-2-0 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin) nipped the University of Dubuque (8-7-0), 1-0, on Wednesday, Oct. 19 at the Oyen Soccer Field in Dubuque, Iowa. 

Carthage Kia Miller (Sr., Antioch, Ill./Community) scored the game's lone goal, unassisted on a high floater, at 40:10 first period.  Lady Red goalkeeper Angela Spinelli (Sr., Woodridge, Ill./Downers Grove-South) collected her fifth season shutout.  On Saturday, Oct. 22, Carthage plays host to CCIW-opponent North Central College (7-7-0, 0-4-0 CCIW) in a Noon contest at Art Keller Field in Kenosha, Wis.
