The Carthage College women's volleyball team (23-5, 6-0 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin), ranked 10th in the Oct 18 American Volleyball Coaches Association NCAA Division III poll, clinched at least a share of the CCIW title on Tuesday night, Oct. 18 with a 3-0 sweep of North Central College (14-12, 3-3 CCIW) at Tarble Arena in Kenosha, Wis Second-place Millikin University (18-9, 4-1 CCIW) plays at Augustana College (Ill.) on Wednesday night, Oct. 19. The Lady Reds' winning set scores over the Cardinals were 25-12, 25-15 and 25-16.

Michelle Madeja (Sr., Naperville, Ill./Neuqua Valley) led Carthage with 10 kills and a .333 attack percentage, while
Cindy Cavanagh had nine kills and hit .533 (9-1-15). Setter
Drewann Pancratz (Sr., Schaumburg, Ill.) averaged 8.67 assists per set. Crystal Wright led North Central with nine kills.

On Friday-Saturday, Oct. 21-22, the Lady Reds travel to Whitewater, Wis., for the Wisconsin-Whitewater Tournament III at the Kris Russell Volleyball Arena. On Friday, Oct. 21, Carthage plays Wisconsin-Oshkosh at 5 p.m. and Wartburg College at 7 p.m. On Saturday, Oct. 22, the Lady Reds face No. 22 Wisconsin-Whitewater at 10 a.m. and No. 4 Wittenberg University at Noon.
