The Carthage College women's soccer team (6-7-1, 2-2-0 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin) shut out CCIW-opponent Millikin University (6-5-1, 1-4-0 CCIW), 2-0, on Saturday afternoon, Oct. 15 at the Millikin Soccer Complex in Decatur, Ill. 

Carthage broke a scoreless tie at 31:32 first period on an unassisted goal by Taylor Capel (So., Englewood, Colo./Cherry Creek), her sixth of the year.  The Lady Reds made it a 2-0 contest when Alyssa Baker (So., Lake Villa, Ill./Lakes Community) scored 85:36.  Millikin out-shot Carthage by a 15-13 margin, but Carthage goalkeeper Angela Spinelli (Sr., Woodridge, Ill./Downers Grove-South) collected her fourth season shutout.  

The Lady Reds travel to De Pere, Wis., on Monday, Oct. 17 to play St. Norbert College (7-6-1) in a 7 p.m. game at Donald J. Schneider Stadium.
