The Carthage College men's soccer team (1-1, 0-0 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin) evened its season record on Saturday, Sept. 4 with a 3-0 win over Marian University (0-2) a the Wisconsin-Oshkosh “Valley Cup” at J.J. Keller Field at Titan Stadium in Oshkosh, Wis. Carthage took a 1-0 lead in the first period behind an unassisted goal by Greg Pignataro at 24:18. The Red Men added a pair of second-period scores, the first by Aleks Urosevic, assisted by Tyler Peterson, at 53:00, and the other by Christian Harvey, assisted by Bill Hamilton, at 85:30. On Sunday, Sept. 5. the Red Men play Wisconsin-Oshkosh at 7 p.m.
