The Carthage College women's soccer team (5-3-2, 0-1 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin) blanked non-conference opponent Lake Forest College (7-4), 2-0, on Thursday, Sept. 30 at Art Keller Field in Kenosha, Wis. 

The Lady Reds took a 1-0 lead in the first period when Katy Rosenbrook (Jr., Woodbury, Minn.) scored, assisted by Michelle Sobey, at 5:10. Maria Korosis (Sr., Lindenhurst, Ill./Lake Villa-Lakes Community) added the second goal, assisted by Taylor Capek, at 65:00 in the second period. 

On Saturday, Oct. 2, the Lady Reds travel to Rock Island, Ill., to take on CCIW-opponent and Augustana College (Ill., 7-0-2) in a 1:30 p.m. contest at the Augustana Soccer Field. The Vikings were ranked 10th in the Sept. 28 National soccer Coaches Association of America NCAA Division III poll and second in the Sept. 28 NSCAA Central Regional rankings.
