Following a scoreless first period, the Red Men's Tyler Peterson (Sr., New Berlin, Wis./Eisenhower) scored at 72:37, assisted by Rafal Zalewski. Carthage concludes tournament play on Sunday, Sept. 19 by entertaining Clarke University (3-3-1) at 5 p.m.
"Even with such a young group on the field,” said Carthage coach
Steve Domin, “we have really been able to get some great results lately. The win against Loras and a positive result vs. Wisconsin-Oshkosh has really fueled our fire. Dubuque, ranked in the top ten of the NSCAA North Region poll, was riding an undefeated season, and once again, our guys showed they can play with anyone. Tonight, we started a touch sluggish, which could have been a result of Wednesdays game when couldn't put away No 1 Calvin. Tonight though, once we got the first goal, we started to smell the victory.”
