“The Illinois Wesleyan game was an exciting battle,” said Carthage coach Susie Foster. “Our girls played to the last whistle and almost tied the game in the final seconds. I was very proud of their play, their poise and their fight. We played the No. 3 team in the country almost even, and it showed that there are great things to come for this very young team. This group will do some special things in the future, and we're excited to build on today's performance through the off-season.”
