The Carthage College women's soccer team (5-4-2, 0-2 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin) lost to CCIW-opponent Augustana College (Ill., 8-0-2, 1-0 CCIW), 1-0, on Saturday, Oct. 2 at Ericson Field in Rock Island, Ill. The Vikings were ranked 10th in the Sept. 28 National Soccer Coaches Association of America NCAA Division III poll and second in the Sept. 28 NSCAA Central Regional rankings. Augustana's Ashley Higuchi scored the game's lone goal at 57:59. Carthage plays host to Robert Morris University (Ill.)-Lake County on Tuesday, Oct. 5 in a 7 p.m. game at Art Keller Field in Kenosha, Wis.
