No. 7 Carthage Women's Volleyball Goes 3-1 at Sept. 25-26 UW-Whitewater Tournament

The Carthage College women's volleyball team (14-2, 2-0- College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin), ranked seventh in the Sept. 22 American Volleyball Coaches Association NCAA Division III poll, went 3-1 at the Friday-Saturday, Sept. 25-26 Wisconsin-Whitewater Tournament I at the Williams Center in Whitewater, Wis. On Friday, Sept. 25, Carthage swept No. 28 Heidelberg College (14-3), 3-0, before being swept by No. 12 Wisconsin-Whitewater (11-4), 3-0. Carthage's winning set scores over Heidelberg were 25-14, 25-13 and 25-17. Wisconsin-Whitewater's winning scores were 29-27, 29-27 and 25-21. On Saturday, Sept. 26, the Lady Reds swept Wisconsin-La Crosse (4-11), 3-0, before taking sweeping Iowa Wesleyan College (8-7), 3-0. Carthage's winning scores over Wisconsin-La Crosse were 25-15, 25-19 and 25-10, and its winning scores over Iowa Wesleyan were 25-9, 25-13 and 25-17.
