The Carthage College men's soccer team (1-4-3, 0-1 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin) opened its CCIW-schedule on Saturday, Sept. 19 with a 2-1 loss to Augustana College (Ill., 3-3, 1-0 CCIW) at the Augustana Soccer Field in Rock Island, Ill.  Augustana (Ill.) took a 1-0 lead at 14:02 on a goal by John Linden.  The Red Men knotted the score with a goal by Andrew Gamarra, assisted by Drew Liogas, at 17:55.  The Vikings' Scott Wallner scored the game winner at 54:21.  Carthage plays host to Cardinal Stritch University (5-2) on Wednesday, Sept. 23 in 7 p.m. contest at Art Keller Field in Kenosha, Wis.
