The Carthage College women's volleyball team (18-2, 5-0 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin), ranked sixth in the Oct. 13 American Volleyball Coaches Association NCAA Division III poll, swept CCIW-opponent Elmhurst College (11-12, 3-3 CCIW), 3-0, on Tuesday, Oct. 13 at R.A. Faganel Hall in Elmhurst, Ill.  Carthage's winning set scores were 25-16, 25-16 and 25-16.  With the win, Carthage extended its CCIW record to 42-straight regular-season conference victories going back to 2003.  On Friday-Saturday, Oct. 16-17 the Lady Reds travel to Oshkosh, Wis., for the Wisconsin-Oshkosh “Titan Tussle.”  On Friday, Oct. 16, the Lady Reds play No. 9 the University of St. Thomas (Minn.) in a 3:30 pm. match, followed by a 5:30 p.m. contest against Lakeland College.  Carthage will play two other matches on Saturday, Oct. 17.
