Omar joins the Carthage program for the 2026 season after a number of years in the club communities of Madison, Wis., and Fort Wayne, Ind. An accomplished player in his own right, Omar played multiple years professionally in Estonia, Sweden, and Puerto Rico, as well as being a four-year starter for Purdue Fort Wayne at the NCAA Division 1 level. He was a two-time All MIVA selection, set teams to rankings as high as #9 in the country, and sits as the Purdue Fort Wayne Career Leader in Assists during the Rally scoring era.Â
Omar is the lead setting coach for the Firebirds and helps to develop offensive strategies and systems for the team.
