Mickey Reilly enters his first season as an Assistant Coach with Carthage Men's Soccer. In summer 2026, Reilly served as an Assistant Coach for local USL Two Franchise, Â RKC Third Coast. Before these coaching roles, he has worked in player development for more than six years through private training and coaching sessions.
Prior to joining the Firebird sideline, Reilly played the 2025 professional season with Portland Hearts of Pine in USL League One. He became a pro after developing as a Carthage Student Athlete. Reilly served as a three-year captain for the nationally competitive men's soccer program. A four-time CCIW First Team All-Conference selection, a four-time USC All-Region player, and a two-time Wisconsin Player of the Year, he is the Carthage all-time leader in goals scored and points with 78 goal contributions. His two older brothers, Shane (2016) and Kevin (2022), also played soccer at Carthage and both served as captains for past Carthage teams.Â
A native of Libertyville, Illinois, Reilly played club soccer for FC1974 in Libertyville and was a standout player at Libertyville High School, which achieved a No. 1 national ranking during his time there.
