John Anderson begins his 19th year as a part-time assistant track and field coach in 2020-21, working primarily with the pole vaulters. A native of Racine, Wis., Anderson graduated from Wisconsin-Parkside in 1985 with a bachelor’s degree in communications.

Anderson was a four-year member of the Wisconsin-Parkside track and field team and still holds the Rangers’ school record in the pole vault (15-6). He coached high school track and field for 12 years, most recently as head coach at Racine Washington Park High School (1994-2002) where his teams won three Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association state championships. Anderson is the owner of Busy Bee Carpet Cleaning in Racine, Wis.
