Carthage College Athletics

Efren enters Carthage College as one of the college's first graduate assistant strength and conditioning coaches. Previously, Efren worked under coach Dexter Molinaro at UTSA during the 2022-23 season as a strength and conditioning intern for the Roadrunner football program. Efren holds a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with a focus in exercise science from TAMIU and is a USAW Level 1 certified weightlifting coach.

As a strength and conditioning intern at UTSA, Efren assisted in daily tasks, including facility management, training program implementation and logistics, GPS analytics, and VBT data analysis. In Efren’s last semester at UTSA, he co-led the strength and conditioning coach for the Roadrunners cheer program.

Efren also has experience being the Head strength and conditioning coach for the Laredo Heat Soccer Club and is a National Premier Soccer League member. They were 2022 conference champions and reached the National Sweet 16 with an overall record of 10-2-4.
