David Rivera is in his 27th season as a Carthage part-time assistant softball coach in 2025, after serving as Amy Gillmore's assistant at Kenosha St. Joseph High School from 1995-1997.
He, along with Gillmore, were named National Fastpitch Coaches Association Great Lakes Regional Coaching Staff of the Year in 2013. Rivera was also a member of the Carthage College Staff that claimed 2016 CCIW Coaching Staff of the Year.Â
From Kenosha, Wis., Rivera attended Kenosha Tremper High School and received his bachelor's degree in International Studies/Business from University of Wisconsin - Parkside in 1993. He is currently a Human Resources Manager for American Metal Fibers, Inc. in Lake Bluff, Ill.Â
