Andrew Czysz Jr. serves as Baseball Play-by-Play Commentator, Football Color Commentator, and Esports Broadcast Journalist across multiple titles.
Czysz began broadcasting in 2021 at Horlick High School and soon joined WIHSEA, where he has called more than 130 matches and attended six state championship LAN events. He also gained experience as a Baseball PA and Morning Announcer in high school before moving into roles with the Racine Raiders Football team and Racine Kiwanis Baseball, working under longtime coach Jack Schiestle. In 2023, Horlick invited him back as its football PA Announcer, and in 2024, he was featured by Racine TMJ4 for his announcing journey alongside his father.
At Carthage, Czysz has called 11 baseball games and expanded into football coverage in fall 2025. His work has earned recognition from the Racine Journal Times and the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association, where he and teammates secured two third-place awards in collegiate play-by-play categories.
Inspired by his love of football and unable to play due to hydrocephalus, Czysz has turned his dream toward professional broadcasting, with the NFL as his ultimate goal. He credits Carthage’s Aspire Center, faculty mentors, and a supportive community for shaping his skills and career path. Grateful for the opportunities he’s received, Czysz acknowledges the many family members, friends, colleagues, and mentors who have encouraged his growth throughout his four years in broadcasting.
