Carthage College Athletics

2013:  Finished eighth in the 800-meter run (2:22.87) and 12th in the 1,500-meter run (4:53.28) at the CCIW Outdoor Track and Field Championship…finished third in the one-mile run (5:08.35) and seventh in the 800-meter run (2:23.33) at the CCIW Indoor Track and Field Championship…part of a winning distance medley relay team that set a school record at the Chicagoland Indoor Championship.

2012:  Finished ninth in the 3,000-meter run (10:44.82) at the CCIW Indoor Track and Field Championship…missed the outdoor season due to study abroad.

2011:  Finished seventh in the 5,000-meter run (19:01.95) and ninth in the 1,500-meter run (4:50.78) at the CCIW Outdoor Track and Field Championship…finished fourth in the 3,000-meter run (101.44) and fifth in the one-mile run (5:16.78) at the CCIW Indoor Track and Field Championship.

2010:  Finished 12th in the 1,500-meter run (5:02.61) at the CCIW Outdoor Track and Field Championship…finished fifth in the one-mile run (5:25.12) at the CCIW Indoor Track and Field Championship.

High School:  A four-time state qualifier in the 1,600-meter run at the Illinois High School Association Class 1A Girls Track and Field Championship, finishing ninth her sophomore year, fifth her junior year and seventh as a senior with a school-record time of 5:13.46…a three-time Sangamo Conference champion in the 1,600-meter run and a four-time Sangamon County champion…also a four-time state qualifier in the 3,200-meter relay…coached by Don Helfer…lettered four times in cross country and finished 10th her junior year at the IHSA Class 1A state championship…lettered four times in basketball…National Honor Society member, Illinois State Scholar, Springfield Journal-Register “scholar-athlete,” four-year high honors student and graduated with honors.

Personal:  German major…member of the 2009-12 Carthage cross country teams and earned second-team All-CCIW honors in 2012…named to the Carthage dean’s list seven times and an eight-semester member of the Carthage athletic director’s honor roll…born Nov. 8, 1990.
