Katelyn Zwiefelhofer

Katelyn Zwiefelhofer became the first head women's bowling coach in program history in August of 2019. She joined the athletic staff after spending the previous four years as an assistant bowling coach for the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

In their first season of competition, Zwiefelhofer became the first-ever CCIW Coach of the Year after helping the Firebirds reach the CCIW Championship match finishing second in the tournament.

Zweifelhofer led the 2023 Firebirds team to the CCIW Championship which ended in a victory over Marian (Wis.). After clinching the CCIW crown, the team competed in the first round of the NCAA Tournament in Lansing, Mich. In the historic season, Zweifelhofer, was named the CCIW Coach of the Year for the second time in her career, and rightfully earned NTCA Division lll Coach of the Year. The virtuoso of a coach now has an overall record of 86-92 (.483) and 24-22 (.521) in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin. 

During her stint at Wisconsin-Whitewater, she assisted the head coach in practices, drills and planned tournaments while working with student-athletes to further their skills and knowledge in the game of bowling.

As a player, Zwiefelhofer was an All-American in bowling at Wisconsin-Whitewater, and owns the school record for a single-game score at 289.
