Vicki Pyan begins her third year as a graduate assistant coach in 2017 after a four-year playing career with the Lady Reds. A native of Crystal Lake, Ill., Pyan was named National Fastpitch Coaches Association first-team All-Great Lakes Region and first-team All-CCIW in 2014, second-team all-region and second-team all-conference in 2013, and first-team All-CCIW in 2012. She is Carthage’s career leader in both doubles (45) and hit-by-pitch (50) and tied for the career lead in runs scored (117). Pyan graduated in 2014 with a bachelor’s in exercise and sport science. She is completing work on her master’s in education, also at Carthage.
