Biography
2017: Participated in the shot put (11.62m) at the CCIW Indoor Championship... Registered an 11.46m in the shot put, a 41.48m in the discus, and a 34.62m in the hammer at the CCIW Outdoor Championship... CCIW Spring Academic All-Conference.
High School: All-CSL North Conference in the indoor and outdoor shot put in 2016... Also lettered in football and basketball at Highland Park High School.Â
Personal: Grandfather Melvin Edwards attended Indiana University where he was a member of the basketball and track & field team... Melvin was a part of the Big Ten Conference Champion Hoosier team that competed for the world record in the 4X100 yard relay... Mother Stacey Edwards played basketball for the University of Montana... The Grizzlies advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament, and competed in the NIT with Stacey on the team... Brother Jack Thompson is a junior on the Georgia State University baseball team... Mother of Stacey Edwards and John Thompson... Plans to major in elementary education.Â
