High School: Named All-East Suburban Catholic Conference both his junior and senior years …a state qualifier in the 800-meter run as a senior…named Pioneer Press all-area his sophomore, junior and senior seasons…coached by Mike Jankowksi…four-year member of the cross country team, named all-conference twice and all-area three times…member of the basketball team his freshman and sophomore years…National Honor Society member, Illinois State Scholar, Illinois High School Association Scholar-Athlete, U.S. Army Reserve Scholar-Athlete, East Suburban Catholic Conference all-academic, honor student and graduated with honors.
