Biography
2011: Finished 17th in the shot put (39-0 ¼) at the CCIW Outdoor Track and Field Championship…finished 20th in the shot put (38-10 ½) at the CCIW Indoor Track and Field Championship.
High School: A three-time All-Three Rivers Conference honoree and named Quad City Times all-area both his junior and senior years…a two-time sectional winner and state qualifier in the shot put…coached by Gordon Fortney…four-year member of the football team…Three Rivers Conference all-academic and honor student.
Personal: Neuroscience major…his cousin, Tyler Hurry, was a three-time Illinois High School Association wrestling champion and went on to wrestle at the University of Illinois…another cousin, Jake Hurry, was a pitcher on the Coastal Carolina University baseball team…his grandfather, Phil Foster, played football at Murray State University and later coached football at Riverdale High School…named to the spring 2011 Carthage athletic director’s honor roll…born Jan. 4, 1992.
