Biography
2010: Qualified for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championship in the hammer throw but did not reach the finals…finished second in the hammer throw (186-10) at the CCIW Outdoor Track and Field Championship…qualified for the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championship in the weight throw but did not reach the finals…finished fourth in the weight throw (58-2) at the CCIW Indoor Track and Field Championship…set a Carthage indoor record in the weight throw (60-1).
2009: Finished eighth in the hammer throw (153-10) at the CCIW Outdoor Track and Field Championship.
2008: Attended Carthage but did not participate in track and field.
High School: Did not participate in high school track and field…two-year letterwinner in both football and wrestling…first-team academic all-state and honor student.
Personal: Mathematics major…offensive lineman on the 2007 and 2008 Carthage football teams…his father, Matt Bunchek, was a three-year football letterwinner at Purdue University between 1979 and 1981…named to the Carthage dean’s list three time and a three-semester member of the Carthage athletic director’s honor roll…born March 8, 1989.
