Biography
2014: Finished 13th in the decathlon (6,539 points) at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championship…won the decathlon (4,612 points) at the CCIW Outdoor Track and Field Championship and finished fifth in the javelin (159-6)…finished third in the heptathlon (3,396 points) at the CCIW Indoor Track and Field Championship…set a Carthage indoor heptathlon record (4,647 points) at the Feb. 7-8 Carthage “Red Invitational.”
2013: Finished 16th in the decathlon (5,424 points) at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championship…won the decathlon (6,230 points) at the CCIW Outdoor Track and Field Championship…finished fourth in the heptathlon (4,533 points) and eighth in the 55-meter hurdles (8.27) at the CCIW Indoor Track and Field Championship.
High School: Finished sixth in the 110-meter high hurdles at the Illinois High School Association Class A state championship his senior year and a South Central Conference champion in the 110-meter high hurdles, the 300-meter intermediate hurdles and the high jump…won a conference title in the 300-meter hurdles as a junior and qualified for the state championship in that event and the discus…won a conference title in the 300-meter hurdles as a sophomore…a state qualifier in the 300 hurdles his freshman year…set school records in the 55-meter high hurdles, the 110-meter high hurdles and the 300-meter intermediate hurdles…part of three school-record relay teams…named Decatur Herald & Review all-area four-straight years…coached by Jane Bell…four-year member of the basketball team, two years each in football and soccer and one year in baseball…National Honor Society member, South Central Conference all-academic and four-year high honors student.
