Carthage College Athletics

2014:  Finished 11th in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (9:56.48) at the CCIW Outdoor Track and Field Championship…finished 14th in the 3,000-meter run (9:11.13) at the CCIW Indoor Track and Field Championship.

2013:  Finished 14th in the 3,000-meter (8:59.29) at the CCIW Indoor Track and Field Championship.

2012:  Finished 22nd in the 10,000-meter run (35:40.30) at the CCIW Outdoor Track and Field Championship.

2011:  Competed in the 5,000-meter run at the CCIW Outdoor Track and Field Championship…finished 16th in the 3,000-meter run (9:27.04) at the CCIW Indoor Track and Field Championship.

High School:  Won Southwest Suburban Conference titles in the two-mile run both his junior and senior years…his sophomore and senior-year teams won conference championships, and his junior-year squad won a sectional title…coached by Carthage graduate Charlie Breedlove, who lettered on the 2001-04 Red Men track and field teams…in cross country, named All-Southwest Suburban Conference and all-regional his junior year…three-year member of the basketball team…honor student.

Personal:  Athletic training major…member of the 2010-13 Carthage cross country team…his brother, Ryan August, played baseball at Indiana-Purdue University at Fort Wayne.
