Carthage College Athletics

2014:  Finished fourth in the triple jump (44-11 ½) and sixth in the long jump (21-2) at the CCIW Outdoor Track and Field Championship finished fourth in the triple jump (44-3 ¼) and fifth in the long jump (21-5 1/4) at the CCIW Indoor Track and Field Championship.

2013:  Member of a 4x400-meter relay team that qualified for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championship…finished third in both the long jump (21-3 ¼) and the triple jump (43-1 ¾) at the CCIW Outdoor Track and Field Championship…finished first in the triple jump (45-4 ¾), fifth in the long jump (22-1 ¾) and 12th in the 200-meter dash (23.19) at the CCIW Indoor Track and Field Championship.

2012:  Finished ninth in the long jump (20-5 ¼) at the CCIW Outdoor Track and Field Championship…won the triple jump (46-4 ¾) and finished second in the long jump (22-6 ¼) at the CCIW Indoor Track and Field Championship…part of a Carthage-record indoor 4x400-meter relay team at the Chicagoland Indoor Championship.

2011:  Finished third in the triple jump (45-8 ½) at the CCIW Outdoor Track and Field Championship…finished second in the triple jump (45-7), eighth in the long jump (20-9 ¼) and ninth in the 55-meter dash (23.18) at the CCIW Indoor Track and Field Championship.

High School:  Earned All-Upstate Eight Conference and all-state honors his senior year in three relay events…part of state-championship teams in the 1,600-meter relay both his junior and senior years…earned all-conference honors his junior year in the 1,600-meter relay…his senior-year squad finished third at the Illinois High School Association Class 3A state outdoor championship, and his junior-year team won a sectional title…all four of his teams won indoor conference championships, and his junior and senior-year teams won outdoor titles…coached by Mike Kennedy…member of the soccer team his senior year.

Personal:  Graphic design major…forward on the 2011 and 2012 Carthage soccer teams…his brother, Buzzy Brown, graduated from Carthage in 2010 and was a three-time U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association NCAA Division III All-American in the long jump…his father, Charlie Brown, was inducted into the Lehigh University Athletic Hall of Fame in 2009 and graduated as the Mountain Hawks’ career scoring leader…named to the spring 2012 Carthage dean's list.
