Biography
2011: Finished fifth in the 200 butterfly (2:05.06), 11th in the 200 individual medley (2:00.71) and 12th in the 100 butterfly (55.24) at the CCIW Swimming Championship.
2010: Competed in the 100 freestyle, the 100 butterfly, the 200 butterfly and the 200 individual medley at the CCIW Swimming Championship.
2009: Finished seventh in both the 200 butterfly (2:04.15) and the 200 individual medley (2:02.57) at the CCIW Swimming Championship…finished third in the 100 freestyle and fourth in the 200 individual medley at the Wisconsin Private College Championship…ranked 12th on Carthage’s all-time 200 butterfly times.
2008: Finished seventh in the 200 butterfly (2:01.60), ninth in the 200 individual medley (2:02.41) and 13th in the 100 butterfly (55.23) at the CCIW Swimming Championship…won the 400 individual medley at the Wisconsin Private College Championship.
High School: Earned All-Northern Illinois Conference honors both his junior and senior year…part of a sectional-championship and state-qualifying 400-meter relay team as a senior…coached by Mike Pisula…finished 43rd in the 100 backstroke at the 2006 Illinois Senior State Championship…coached by Christi Macki for the Freeport Area Swim Team…National Honor Society member, high honors student and graduated with honors.
Personal: Political science major…named to the Carthage dean’s list six times and a four-semester member of the Carthage athletic director’s honor roll…son of Dan and Amy Stowe…older brother of Natalie Stowe, a sophomore on the 2012 Carthage women’s swimming team…born March 23, 1989.
