Biography
2011: Part of a 400 freestyle relay team that finished 20th the NCAA Division III Swimming Championship, a 400 medley team that finished 20th and an 800 freestyle team that was 22nd…finished fifth in the 100 freestyle (47.34), sixth in the 200 freestyle (1:45.68) and ninth in the 50 freestyle (21.62) at the CCIW Swimming Championship…part of conference-championship relay teams in both the 400 freestyle and the 800 freestyle.
2010: Finished sixth in the 100 freestyle (47.65) and ninth in the 200 freestyle (1:46.87) at the CCIW Swimming Championship…part of a CCIW-championship 200 freestyle relay team.
2009: Named the “most outstanding participant” at the CCIW Swimming Championship…finished fourth in the 200 freestyle (1:46.13), eighth in the 100 freestyle (48.59) and part of a conference-championship 800 freestyle relay team…finished third in the 100 breaststroke at the Wisconsin Private College Championship…holds Carthage’s 12th-fastest 50 and 100 freestyle relay split times.
2008: Competed on 200 freestyle and 400 medley relay teams at the CCIW Swimming Championship.
High School: Coached by Peter Quinn, Jim Locke and Kathy Rigali…three-year member of the water polo team…four-year honor student.
Personal: Double major in computer science and graphic design…named the 2008-09 NCAA Division III Sportsmanship Award winner…named a 2010 College Swimming Coaches Association of America honorable mention Scholar All-American…named to the Carthage dean’s list four times and a four-semester member of the Carthage athletic director’s honor roll…son of Arnold and Cathy Rothenbaum…born May 1, 1989.
