Biography
2016: Finished 11th in the 1650 yard freestyle at the CCIW Championships with a time of 17:19.17... Named to the CCIW Winter Academic All-Conference.
2015: Finished 11th in the 200 butterfly (2:02.53) at the CCIW Swimming & Diving Championship...Awarded the Nathaniel Chapman Red Men Award
2014: Competed in the 100 backstroke, the 200 freestyle, the 400 individual medley, the 500 freestyle, the 1,650 freestyle and the 200 freestyle relay at the CCIW Swimming & Diving Championship.
2013: Competed in the 200 backstroke, the 200 freestyle, the 500 freestyle and the 1,650 freestyle at the CCIW Swimming & Diving Championship.
High School: Earned honorable mention All-Northern Illinois Conference 10 honors his senior year…coached by Christy Mackey…four-year soccer letterwinner…honor student…swam for the Freeport Aquatic club team.
Personal: Biology major…his father, Dave, lettered on the 1974-77 Carthage swimming teams…Danny is the third son to swim at Carthage, with Andy Steenrod lettering on the 2003-06 teams and Chris Steenrod on the 2006-09 teams…named to the Carthage dean’s list five times.
