Biography
2011: Competed in the sprint freestyles and the 100 butterfly at the CCIW Swimming Championship.
2010: Competed in the 100 breaststroke, the 100 butterfly, the 100 freestyle and the 400 medley relay at the CCIW Swimming Championship.
2009: Finished second in the 50 freestyle at the Wisconsin Private College Championship…ranked in Carthage’s all-time top-20 in both the 50 and 100 freestyle events.
2008: Competed on 200 freestyle, 200 medley and 400 medley relay teams at the CCIW Swimming Championship.
High School: His junior-year team qualified for the Illinois High School Association state championship…coached by Ian Shannahan at Woodstock High School and by Carolyn Grevers for the Scout Aquatics club team.
Personal: Double major in environmental science and geography…a two-semester member of the Carthage athletic director’s honor roll…son of Denise Hoover…born July 3, 1988.
