Biography
2015: Named to the Winter CCIW Academic All-Conference... Finished sixth in the 100 backstroke (53.99), 11th in the 50 freestyle (21.79) and 12th in the 100 freestyle (48.12) at the CCIW Swimming & Diving Championship.
2014: Finished ninth in the 100 backstroke (54.08), 11th in the 100 butterfly (52.70) and 12th in the 50 freestyle (21.97) at the CCIW Swimming & Diving Championship.
2013: Finished fifth in the 100 backstroke (54.38), eighth in the 50 freestyle (22.11) and 11th in the 100 butterfly (52.88) at the CCIW Swimming & Diving Championship…part of a third-place CCIW 200 freestyle relay team.
2012: Finished seventh in the 100 backstroke (55.14), eighth in the 50 freestyle (22.00) and ninth in the 100 freestyle (48.96) at the CCIW Swimming & Diving Championship…ranked 12th all-time in the Carthage 100 butterfly and 16th in the 100 backstroke.
High School: A four-year letterwinner and a state qualifier his senior year…coached by his father, Kent Ertl…four-year member of both the soccer and tennis teams…National Honor Society member.
Personal: Double major in German and international political economy…named to the Carthage dean’s list five times.
