Jarrett Simonson

Jarrett Simonson is in his second year with the Carthag men's golf program in the 2020-21 academic year.

During his time on the men’s golf staff, he led Carthage to a second place finish at the conference championship in both 2019 and 2018. He also guided two student-athletes to GCAA All-Region nominations, and one to an All-American selection. He was elevated to assistant coach after serving as a graduate assistant for the Carthage men’s golf team from 2017 to 2019.

As a player, Simonson was a four-year member of the Carthage team from 2012 to 2016. During his senior season, he was named the Carthage Athletics Man of the Year and the team’s scholar athlete. He was a 2015 Spring CCIW Jack Swartz Academic Award winner.

On the course he held a 75.97 career scoring average, the seventh-lowest in school history, and was a two-time all-conference selection in 2015 and 2016. His career-best for a round, which he achieved twice, of 67 is tied for the fifth lowest round in Carthage history.

A native of Wautoma, Wis., Simonson graduated from Carthage with a bachelor's in mathematics in 2016, before earning his master’s in educational leadership from Carthage in 2019. He has served as the assistant golf professional at the Kenosha Country Club since 2017.
