Carthage College Athletics

2013: Earned second-team All-CCIW honors with an 18th-place finish at the CCIW Cross Country Championship and a career-best time of 24:16.62…finished 59th at the NCAA Midwest Regional with a time of 26:00.50.

2012: Finished 41st at the CCIW Men’s Cross Country Championship with a time of 26:45…ran a 28:03.40 at the NCAA Midwest Regional…ran a season-best 26:15.87 at the Benedictine (Ill.) “Eagle Invitational.”

2011: Ran a season-best 26:44.50 to finish third at the Concordia (Wis.) “Falcon Invitational.”

2010: Finished 41st at the CCIW Men’s Cross Country Championship with a season-best time of 26:54.80…ran a 27:03.80 at the NCAA Midwest Regional.

High School: Named All-Southwest Suburban Conference and all-regional his junior year…his sophomore-year team won both conference and regional titles en route to a ninth-place finish at the Illinois High School Association Class 3A state championship…coached by Ross Widinksi…four-year member of the track and field team and won both 2009 and 2010 conference titles in the two-mile run…three-year member of the basketball team…honor student.

Personal: Athletic training major…distance runner on the 2011-14 Carthage track and field teams…a three-semester member of the Carthage athletic director’s honor roll…his brother, Ryan August, played baseball at Indiana-Purdue University at Fort Wayne… born July 26, 1992.
