Carthage College Athletics

2013:  Qualified for the NCAA Division III Swimming Championship in two individual events, the 100 breastroke (22nd in the preliminaries with a time of 1:06.21) and the 200 breaststroke (disqualified in the preliminaries)…also part of NCAA-qualifying relay teams in the 200 freestyle, the 400 freestyle, the 200 medley and the 400 medley…won the CCIW 100 breastroke (Carthage-record 1:06.02) and finished third in the 200 individual medley (2:09.05)…part of a second-place CCIW relay teams in the 200 medley and the 400 medley.

2012:  Finished second in both the 100 breaststroke (1:06.57) and the 200 breaststroke (2:23.50) at the CCIW Swimming Championship (2:11.66), while finishing sixth in the 200 individual medley …part of a conference-championship 200 medley relay team.

High School:  Part of a state-championship and championship-record team in the 200 medley relay (1:44.15) her senior year and named National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association All-America…her senior-year team won both West Suburban League Silver and sectional titles, en route to a fourth-place finish at the Illinois High School Association state championship…set a school record in the 100 breastroke her senior year…her junior-year team won a sectional title and finished 13th at the state championship…her sophomore-year squad finished fifth and her freshman-year team 13th at the state championship…coached by Judy Busse.

Personal:  Exercise and sport science major…named to the fall 2011 Carthage athletic director’s honor roll…born April 22, 1993.
